ABOUT
Physical Interfaces for Education & Recreation Computing
Our Hardware means the physical interface a guest approaches, touches, holds or sits in: cabinets, chairs, enclosures, controls and other presentation systems. The underlying processors, workstations, clusters or remote resources belong primarily in HPC Research. Software remains the priority; hardware exists to make that software comfortable, durable, accessible and fun to use.

The Waterpark Puzzle
The Waterpark Puzzle demonstrates how one Fun Center HPC game could move across several physical forms. A family fun center might use a dry cabinet, dedicated chair, workstation, tablet or phone. A waterpark could go further with a purpose-built wet installation designed to create a Real Waterslide Feeling using carefully controlled physical effects.

Dry Cabinets & Dedicated Chairs
A dry cabinet or chair can give software a clear physical identity inside a family fun center without requiring water effects. Controls, displays, speakers, seating, accessibility, ventilation and service access should be designed around the actual game and venue.

Build the interface around the visitor
A short walk-up game, a longer design session and an immersive simulation may each need different controls and seating. Prototype with operators and visitors before treating a cabinet design as final.

Tablets, Phones & Smaller Enclosures
Some Fun Center HPC software may work through ordinary mobile devices or venue-owned tablets. The hardware contribution can be a durable themed enclosure, mount, charging system or other physical treatment rather than a large cabinet.

Keep continuity across interfaces
Where privacy and account design allow it, a guest could begin on one interface and continue on another. The Waterpark Puzzle’s saved-progress idea is one example.

Wet Interfaces — Real Waterslide Feeling
A specialized waterpark installation could combine a weather- or water-resistant guest interface with water or mist, airflow, directional audio, vibration or motion. Any real design would require professional engineering, electrical/water separation, drainage, accessibility, sanitation and applicable attraction/safety review.

Physical effects support the software
The goal is not to turn Fun Center HPC into a ride manufacturer or to claim perfect reproduction of waterslide forces. The physical system should enhance a digital experience whose core identity remains software.

Opportunities For Improvement
Future hardware concepts can emerge from actual venue needs: better controls, quieter workstations, more accessible seating, portable installations, group interfaces or entirely new attraction-like forms. Fun Center HPC can develop these alongside software rather than designing hardware without a reason to use it.
